Our Story
Founded in 2008 by Scottsdale native Jackie Griffin, Oh My Dog began with a simple vision: to create a place where dogs could be cared for with the same love, attention, and respect we give our own family members.
A graduate of the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, Jackie combined her passion for entrepreneurship with a lifelong love of dogs to create a unique destination unlike anything else in the Valley. What started as a boutique and grooming spa has evolved into a trusted resource for dog owners seeking expert training, socialization, enrichment, grooming, and overnight care in a positive, relationship-based environment.
“From the beginning, I wanted Oh My Dog to be more than a pet business. I wanted it to be a place filled with joy, learning, connection, and community—a place where dogs genuinely love to come.”
Today, Jackie is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CCPDT), an AKC Certified Evaluator and Instructor for Puppy and Obedience Programs, and a certified yoga instructor. Her approach blends education, enrichment, behavior, wellness, and positive reinforcement to help dogs develop confidence, good manners, and strong relationships with their families.
For nearly two decades, Oh My Dog has specialized in small dogs, offering carefully curated programs designed around their unique needs. From puppy development and socialization to boarding school, day play, grooming, and overnight stays, every service is built upon the belief that dogs learn best when they feel safe, understood, and loved.
Oh My Dog remains a true family business. Jackie and her husband work together in the day-to-day operation of the company, and their two children have grown up alongside the dogs that walk through the doors each day. Their family shares a deep love of animals and a commitment to creating a warm, welcoming environment for every dog and person who becomes part of the Oh My Dog community.
Over the years, Oh My Dog has received numerous “Best of the Valley” awards and has been featured in national publications including Sunset Magazine, Modern Dog, and Life + Dog.
Jackie’s passion for community involvement has led to the creation of programs and events benefiting both dogs and people. She developed DOGA (Yoga for Dogs), partnered with local rescue organizations including the Arizona Animal Welfare League, and has supported charitable initiatives benefiting therapy dog programs and animal welfare throughout Arizona.
As Oh My Dog continues to grow, the mission remains the same: to provide exceptional care, education, enrichment, and wellness for dogs while helping strengthen the bond between dogs and the people who love them.
